Tout Matsuda (松田 桃 太, Matsuda Tota) (Appointed as Matsuda Tota "in the Japanese manga) is the younger, more open member Kira investigation team. He has the alias Taro Matsui (Matsui 松井 太郎 Taro), while working with L, also becomes Managger of Misa Amane. While working to capture Kira, Matsuda admits that part of it recognizes the good that Kira is doing, even if he knows he is the wrong way to do it. As such, feels a little support and sympathy for the followers of Kira, but that does not get in their work. Despite his excitable, naive personality, Matsuda manages to stay alive through a number of times in danger. Is loyal to his friends and very stubborn.
