Soichiro Yagami (夜 神 総 一郎, Soichiro Yagami?) Is the father of Light and police officer who leads the research team initially against Kira later joins L. It interpretadp (Voice) by Naoya Uchida in the Japanese anime and Chris Britton in the English dub. When L begins to suspect Light, Soichiro is unwilling to believe his son capable of such a thing. After the death of L, Soichiro is sent to recover the stolen by Mello Death Note. To retrieve Soichicro makes the treatment of Shinigami eyes and manages to infiltrate the hideout Mello. He retrieves the Death Note and see Mello's real name, but refuses to kill him and is fatally wounded. Light resigned (Chapters before) to the Death Note, making life visible above his head, so Soichiro dies creeyendo that Light is Kira. In the film, Soichiro, interpetado by Takeshi Kaga, survives and discovers that Light is Kira, but chooses to hide the information to your family.
